2 Objective I have noted the change in name of the Ministry to Human Settlements. My intention today is to present two main areas of concern that I believe are relevant and may contribute to the focus on human settlements rather than simply housing. 3

workshops - D Community Development Skills can be developed - D Higher Education Can create sustainable jobs - D Economic Development Provide incentives to involve employers in public private partnerships, and Tax incentives for small private employers for employee housing 14 Conclusion Minister of Human Settlements has the ability to rally people of good will to the cause We need to make human settlements everybodys business
