employees due to unpaid vacation, sick and leave will be eliminated. Also eliminated is the use of the pay correction form for this unpaid time off. Unpaid Vacation, Sick and Leave Contd How to use the new codes New codes will be used in the Time and Labor system. Can be used in conjunction with paid time off codes

Unpaid Vacation, Sick and Leave Contd Affects on employees pay For Hourly employees, these codes will record time off without pay but will not pay the employee. For Salaried employees, these codes will reduce the salary by the time recorded.

Unpaid Vacation, Sick, and Leave Contd Reading the employees paycheck For Hourly employees, pay is calculated but not added to the employee gross earnings. For salaried employees, pay is reduced by the number of recorded unpaid time. These codes can be used for all employees whether or not the employee has a vacation and sick plan.
